Last week we kicked off a new video series called Rock It Out! – brought to you by CraveOnline and Sami Jarroush, better known to the world as the mastermind behind the fantastic daily rock news/video blog RockItOut!Blog.
In the second installment of the Rock It Out! video series for CraveOnline, Sami runs a quick update on the news everybody’s talking about this week, as well as a look at what’s waiting in store for next week’s releases. This week he covers the Beatles on iTunes, Kirk Hammett kicking a kid in the face onstage, Dr. Dre’s new Detox material, My Chemical Romance’s new album and the sample jungle that is Girl Talk!
The Rock it Out! Blog was started back in October of 2008 by Sami Jarroush. Originally a video blog that spanned a variety of topics, Sami has taken the RiO!B and and created a new way of music blogging. Focusing primarily on delivering rock music news, the show airs every Monday-Friday at YouTube.com/RockItOutBlog and now boasts over 23,000 subscribers and counting. He’s also interviewed huge acts including Dave Mustaine of Megadeth, Jet, GWAR, Eagles Of Death Metal, Dropkick Murphys, Shadows Fall and more.
In addition to the daily video blogs, Sami also runs RockItOutBlog.com. The website is constantly updated with rock music news stories, mp3′s, videos as well as new episodes from the YouTube channel. In March of 2011, Sami will be moderating a panel at SXSW that will discuss why video blogging may be the new trend when it comes to delivering music news. He was also a former host of the Fuse TV show, Number One Countdown Rock, and a former producer at Sirius Satellite Radio. His favorite band is Radiohead, he’s a Chicago Bears fan will not speak to you if he finds Creed or Nickelback in your iPod.
