The day before Led Zeppelin unleashed their debut album on a world that had absolutely no idea what was about to hit them, the legendary sex-blues rockers played a show at the Fillmore West in San Francisco and recorded what's believed to be the very first live soundboard recording of their music.

The date was January 11, 1969, the location the legendary Fillmore theater. In the clip below, you can hear the iconic hard rock band jamming their classic song “Dazed and Confused” in demonically slow, brooding fashion. Listen below:

The track was originally written by folk musician Jake Holmes, was covered by The Yardbirds, and later reworked by Led Zeppelin, who actually hold a separate copyright on their version - likely to keep from being sued any further on copyright claims.
