Has Kenny Powers lost weight, gotten arm tattoos and decided to look like death warmed over? Nope, that's actually washed-up pasty freak-rocker and performance artist Marilyn Manson.
The 41-year-old usually never leaves the house without heavy white funeral parlor makeup and black-rimmed eyes, but Interview magazine stumbled on a rare photo of the musical antichrist dressing up like "Eastbound & Down" star Danny McBride.
Interview reports that Manson is a diehard fan of the raunchy HBO comedy starring McBride as a washed-up former baseball star whose trademark mullet and angry face Manson is imitating in this photo. Reporter Hunter Stephenson caught win that Manson was a fan from "Eastbound" creators, so he asked a director currently working with Manson about it.
"Whenever I see Manson, he's repeating entire chunks of dialogue and dressed like Kenny," Adam Bhala Lough, who's directing Manson in the upcoming film Splatter Sisters, told Interview. Lough went on to claim that Manson dresses like "Eastbound" character Kenny Powers all the time, and provided the photo, credited to Manson himself, as evidence.
Draw your own conclusions there, but there's a good chance that we may see an appearance from Mr. Brian Warner when "Eastbound & Down" kicks off its second season September 26. The Splatter Sisters film (which co-stars Manson's ex Evan Rachel Wood) is due out next year.
