Los Angeles punkers Drive A have seen a rapid rise to stardom since the release of their 2009 debut Loss of Desire.

Making a name for themselves in the touring scene with a combination of modern melodies with and old school punk aggression, the band just got off the Bamboozle Roadshow with All Time Low, and will be joining Bullet For My Valentine and Escape The Fate on tour this Fall. Check out the video for their single "Take a Side".

Drive A will also be heading into the studio soon to record the follow up to Loss of Desire. They were kind enough to take the time to put together their list of the Top Ten Punk Bands of All Time, so we could get a lock on who these guys are looking up to as they look to conquer the scene in years to come.

1. Sham 69

One of the most underrated bands ever, every song kicks the last songs ass, they were one of the first bands to perform punk rock songs with a more hardcore energy

2. The Clash

Joe Strummers voice is punk perfection. Paul Simonon’s bass lines are maybe the coolest bass lines ever written. The way Mick Jones, and Joe Strummer played off each other captured real, raw chemistry and that’s why their records still sound great today.

3. Sex Pistols

They invented an attitude to go with a style of music. Johnny Rotten introduced the world to a bit of anarchy by poking fun of the Queen of England, and coming up with a sound that was straight to the point no bullshit.

4. Misfits

Danzig will kill us if we don’t put him on the list.

5. Ramones

The Ramones spread the word about punk rock internationally. Their fast pace and intensity is what started this whole thing.

6. The Stooges

Before punk was a fashion, pioneers Iggy pop and the gang destroyed the streets of Detroit.

7. Minor Threat

They created the straight edge movement and addressed lyrical content that a whole new generation could relate to.

8.  Stiff Little Fingers

They wrote great punk songs that inspired the likes of green day, Jake Burns sounds like he eats cigarettes for breakfast that match the intensity of his lyrics.

9. Subhumans

Dick Lucas’s lyrics are an undeniable force I would hate to get in a debate with him.

10. Crass

Nobody hated the government more than Crass, but managed to make unique sounding records.
