Slipknot bassist Paul Dedrick Gray, aka #2, was found dead early this morning at a hotel in Urbandale, Iowa, according to the Des Moines Register. He was 38.
No evidence of foul play has been found, but police are investigating his death. An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.
Gray, who was born in Los Angeles, CA and later moved to Des Moines, performed bass and backup vocals for Slipknot since 1995. The band celebrated their tenth anniversary last yar.
According to Examiner.com, “Paul had a darker side to his life, dealing with drugs and alcohol abuse, and then getting married and expecting a child with his wife, Brenna, later this year.”
