Los Angeles music maniac Ali Maclean is the mastermind behind the latest featured video on Funny Or Die, Will Ferrell and Adam McKay's smash comedy site.
DJ Intervention is, of course, a comic spin on the "Intervention" TV show - you know, the one that centers on drug addicts hitting rock bottom, throwing their lives away willfully for the next hit. Good, wholesome family television. This show, on the other hand, is about "musical abortion," the hipster douches who show up with an iPod playlist and call themselves a DJ.
If you're a nightlifer, particularly one in areas of high hipster concentration like Silverlake, CA (hipster capital of the world), you've seen them: the "DJs" who couldn't match beats if their lives depended on it, who think Serato is a pasta and think that scrolling through their iTunes playlist is a suitable alternative to lugging around a vinyl crate and actually spinning records. There's a movement among the trendy celebutards lately, descending on these clubs and using what limited pan-flash star power they have to pull a few grand plugging their shitty pseudo-reality show or foray into "fashion". Even worse is that club owners are taking the bait, paying heavy cash for inferior services by assholes like the "Jersey Shore" cast.

And here's part 2:
Guests on the show include DJ Rhettmatic from the Beat Junkies, Arabian Prince from NWA, Adam 12 from She Wants Revenge and Ken Jordan of The Crystal Method. If you or someone you know is showing symptoms, it may be time for a DJ Intervention.
