Sub Pop is planning to release a remastered version of Nirvana's debut album Bleach next month (November 3), to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the album's initial release.
A live disc will accompany the remastered original album, a 12-song set list from a February 9, 1990 gig at Portland’s Pine Street Theatre. It's chock full of classic material from the album, and because we love you, as a preview you can download the track "Scoff" now, for free, right here.
Original Bleach producer Jack Endino also oversaw the remastering for the original and the live album. “Fifteen years doesn’t mean as much as a decimal,” Endino told Rolling Stone when asked about media interest in the 15th anniversary. “I didn’t hear a peep.”
Endino expected a different response this time around, and it looks like he's getting it.

As for the vinyl version of the remaster, Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic wrote on his Seattle Weekly blog: "Jack [Endino] and I got test pressings earlier this summer and the vinyl sounds killer. It's going to be pressed on white vinyl – just like the first issue. I put the tone arm down and the bass growl of ‘Blew' is there in all its Grunge glory."
