While the rest of us are wringing our bloggy little hands and fretting over some random hacker's suspicion that they're releasing new music, Radiohead is digging backwards through time. Well, not them precisely, but the record label that still owns the rights to the music they made before they started giving their shit away and created the tipping point for the downfall of the record industry. They did it earlier this year with Radiohead's first three albums, and the mining was good - so here we go again!
Three of the band's landmark albums have just been released as expanded Collectors Editions and limited Special Collectors Editions: Kid A (2000), Amnesiac (2001), and Hail To The Thief (2003), out on Capitol/EMI. Each Collectors Edition package includes the original album plus a second CD of rarities, including radio sessions and live recordings. Each Special Collectors Edition, in deluxe, lift-top box packaging, includes both discs and adds a DVD with various video clips, as well as a series of postcards.
