Gaming giant Activision has finally unveiled the complete song lineup for Guitar Hero: Van Halen. The fourth Guitar Hero game of 2009 will hit store shelves on December 22, perfect timing for that Jingle All The Way reenactment you've been wanting to get in on since you lost that Tickle Me Elmo tug of war a few years back.
Of course, for the game to be at all respectable, David Lee Roth will be at the mic. No word yet on whether or not Sammy Hagar is an unlockable character, should you get tired of Roth's antics along the way to pretend stardom.
Check out the official trailer here:
Rolling Stone did a little investigative work and found that, in addition to Hagar's absence, another prominent member has been left out: founding bassist Michael Anthony.
"An Activision/RedOctane rep says only David Lee Roth and Wolfgang Van Halen will appear in GH:VHalongside Eddie and Alex Van Halen," the Stone says.
According to IGN, in the game “You’ll start out seeing the modern Van Halen, but eventually unlock the classic images of the band with huge hair and tight pants.”
While Van Halen tracks will obviously dominate the list, other stowaway bands have snuck in as well.
