Drake's been catching some serious heat ever since his performance of "Every Girl" with Lil Wayne & Young Money, a song about escapades with multiple girls around the world, at the BET Awards - a night almost entirely devoted to honoring Michael Jackson's legacy.
In his best ass-covering maneuvering, Drake owns up to the foul and explains that their performance was effected by the last minute changes due to the death of Michael Jackson. "That, actually - to be honest - was a terrible idea that I'll never do to myself again," he said recently. "But I was being pressed from different areas to perform, and I think what really happened at the BET Awards is with the passing of Mike, the climate really changed, as far as the award show goes. I don't think it called for us to perform "Every Girl" and "Always Strapped," and I think it was an award show filled with tributes and music and these genuine heartfelt speeches. And to sort of climax out of a very tongue-n-cheek point, and then people misconstruing Wayne's daughters and her friends coming out on stage - it was just timed very poorly and it definitely wasn't planned like that, but with that being said, it is what is. I believe in Wayne and myself and it's nothing we can't bounce back from. To anyone who was offended, my personal apologies, it wasn't intended to offend anybody."
Eminem has made plans to return to the big screen, but don't look for any fake rap battles in this one. Marshall will make an appearance in Adam Sandler's upcoming Funny People movie. Judd Apatow (Knocked Up, 40 Year Old Virgin) directing the all-star film that features Sandler, Seth Rogen, Jason Schwartzman and Jonah Hill. Sandler plays George Simmons, a comedian who learns of his terminal, inoperable health condition which causes him desire to form a genuine friendship. He takes a relatively green performer (Seth Rogen) under his wing as his opening act.
"No. Marshall Mathers is in it," Apatow said when asked if Eminem was in the film. When asked how it was to direct the "8 Mile" star, Apatow said "I was scared to pitch jokes to him then I realized his songs are as nasty as anything that has ever been spoken. There is no way to offend him."

Ja Rule is warning everyone right now that he's coming back, and this time he has a "chip" on his shoulder. That's right! Tough guy returns! The former Murder Inc. frontman says not only is new music coming but he plans to launch a new website. "Word to God, Rule York in the building," he says in a hypiliciously stupid video. "That's the motherf*****g first blog on Rule York TV on the iPhizzle cam n***a. I'm getting a lot of hardcore footage. All you bitch ass n****s out there, I'm letting y'all know I'm coming and I'm f*****g, oh, I got a chip on my shoulders this year bitch."
And here's where it gets a little weird. Ja continued "I'ma let you know something for real for real, brand new n***a. Nothing f*****g stale, faded, brand new n***a. Get ready. I'm lettin' y'all n****s know man, you got about 60 to 90 days then I'ma put my d**k in your mouth man. Watch yourselves homies, telling you."

How convenient! Lil Kim says she, like 50 Cent, is planning to take it back to a hardcore rapping style.Kim says her new album is coming, and fans can expect the lil' heat to come charging strong when it does . Although there is no release date, Lil Kim did say she thinks that her new LP will be out this year.
"Album should be out in a few months," Kim said in an interview at the pre-BET Awards show last weekend. "We don't have a set date yet but the song "Down Low" is featuring T-Pain and Charlie Wilson is doing very well and I'm excited about that 'cause it's been a long time since I made my rounds. But I got another song that's with a producer named Detail, he's a Konvict Music producer and I love this song. I can't tell y'all the name yet 'cause it might be the next single but just know that this album, I'm feeling real sexy and nasty y'all, so it's gonna be an upgrade of Hardcore."
