Hip Hop legend turned actor Ice Cube is returning to his roots once again to release his eighth studio album, his first since 2006’s Laugh Now, Cry Later a critically acclaimed effort that showed that Cube still had it when it was all said and done.

The album is titled Raw Footage and will release in stores and on the internet August 19th of this year through his independently owned label, Lench Mob Records. The album will feature production from Maestro, Emile, DJ Crazy Toones, Teak ‘Da Beatsmith’ Underdue and Dee Underdue. Guest acts on the album include Musiq Soulchild, Young Jeezy, The Game, and WC.

The lead single ‘Gangsta Rap Made Me Do It’ off the album is already blazing through the radio and video stations, MTV calls it the first great song of 2008. Cubes next single off the album is a cut entitled ‘Do Ya Thang’ which was produced by Palumbo Beats and will have a debut video on www.icecube.com.

In preparation for the album’s release Ice Cube will be kicking off a world tour that starts July 11th, the dates of the tour are as follows:
