2008 Grammy Awards Nominations

An egomaniac and a junkie steal everyones thunder

Kanye West, Amy Winehouse and the Foo Fighters topped the list of 2008 Grammy nominees, announced yesterday in Hollywood. Kanye leads the pack with eight nominations for his Graduation album, including Album of the Year and Best Rap Album, while everybody’s favorite junkie brit diva Amy Winehouse scored six nominations for Back to Black. The Foo Fighters, Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake each earned five nods, while Bruce Springsteen, indie-popper and iPod pimpette Feist, American Idol insect Chris Daughtry, Ne-Yo and Rihanna each received four nominations.

The 50th annual Grammy Awards take place on February 11 and will feature award presentations in 110 award categories. That’s pretty much an award for anything even remotely musical you can possibly imagine. My grandma’s nominated for yodeling.
