New Radiohead Album Finished!

The catch is that they have no record label
Radiohead has finally completed their seventh studio album, the long-awaited follow-up to 2003’s Hail to the Thief. The only problem is, they have no label to release it on. They fulfilled their contractual obligations to EMI records with the release of Hail to the Thief, and chose not to renew their contract.

As of now the new album has no title, no release date and no specific label prospects, but the band are actively considering their options. "We just had a meeting about that today," guitarist Jonny Greenwood told Paste Magazine last week. "We're very relieved to have finished recording, now we have to decide what we should do with it."

Several new tracks were debuted live during a series of 2006 shows, but with more a year to flesh them out in the studio, don’t expect the new songs to sound much like they did in concert. Tentative titles to a few new tracks are “Bangers and Mash”, “Bodysnatchers”, “Spooks” and “Down Is The New Up”
