Watch Jack White & Stephen Colbert’s NSFW Catholic Showdown

A hilarious thing happened on the way to making a "hit" song… This has to be seen to be believed!

We may have just experienced one of the greatest weeks in late-night television to ever happen. On Comedy Central's "Colbert Report," the "Dr Pepper Presents StePhest Colbchella '011: Rock You Like a Thirst-icane" series of music-themed episodes took host Stephen Colbert to Nashville, where he sat down with Third Man Records mastermind Jack White before rocking out together in a new song.

Earlier in the week we shared the first clip from the duo's conversational showdown, but that was just the tip of the iceberg. White finds it increasingly difficult to get Stephen Colbert to record their planed "hit song" with Third Man Records band, The Black Belles. We're taken along for the ride as Colbert tours Third Man Records, goes through some costume ideas for his cover (including a very familiar red outfit) and have a little record-cover photoshoot before a marathon NSFW Catholicism trivia showdown that's as disturbing as it is impressive.

Watch part one, before checking out part two of the Colbert/White experience:

Stephen Colbert, Jack White and the Black Belles perform "Charlene II (I'm Over You)":

And lastly, Jack and Stephen paired up for a rendition of the National Anthem at a Third Man Records popup shop in New York City.
