Radiohead’s performance of The King of Limbs for Nigel Godrich’s "From The Basement" series was aired for the first time ever on Spain’s Canal+ on July 9, and fans have been patiently waiting for a legitimate video release from the performance on the internet. The day has finally arrived, with the band having uploaded the sessions themselves for viewers. Check out the entire performance below:
The band, clearly comfortable in the studio’s intimate setting, readjusted each new song to suit the live-session format, and the subtle changes had some magnificent impacts upon the music.
The 57 minute, 10-song set mostly consisted of material from Radiohead’s latest effort; however the Oxford-ensemble also performed "Staircase" (previously debuted as a preview for the sessions), and "The Daily Mail," a song that Thom Yorke regularly played with Atoms for Peace last year, as well as performing it earlier this Summer with Radiohead at Glastonbury.
