Jam band deities Phish have proven time and time again that they know how to throw one hell of a party, so when they announced plans for a string of shows centered on New Year’s Eve, goosebumps undoubtedly rippled through the fan community.
Picking up where they left off after their legendary three-night run at New York’s Madison Square Garden to close out 2010, Trey, Page, Mike, and Fish will extend this year’s celebration into a four-night musical throwdown at MSG. This marks the band’s sixth New Year’s Eve show at the newly renovated venue and 20th – 23rd Phish shows ever at the massive arena.
The New Years 2012 stint runs from December 28th-31st at MSG, and tickets will go on sale to the general public on Saturday, October 29, at 12:00 p.m. ET. An online ticket request period for each show is underway at the band’s website. Tickets for the first three shows are $60 each, while the final New Year’s Eve show costs $70. Ticket prices will also include a free mp3 download of the respective evening’s entire show that can be claimed at LivePhish.com shortly after the show.
