Scotland rockers Biffy Clyro are set to headline an impressive bill at this year's RockNess festival. The full lineup of the Scottish festival also includes Deadmau5, Justice, Mumford & Sons, Noah and The Whale, Metronomy and disco superstars Chic featuring Nile Rodgers.

Last year, the NME Awards crowned RockNess the ‘Best Small Festival’ winner, and organizers plan to seize upon the renewed depth of attention with an unforgettable thre-day weekend, held from June 8-10. Revelers will make their annual pilgrimage to the world famous Loch Ness in the Scottish Highlands for a gathering of the hottest names in rock, electro and indie.

While further live acts and DJs are still to be announced, other acts confirmed for RockNess 2012 include Wretch 32, Fresh/Live, Azealia Banks, Beardyman, Death in Vegas, French dance stars Etienne De Crecy and Gesaffelstein, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs and festival regulars The Cuban Brothers.

Speaking about the announcement, Simon Neil, Ben Johnston and James Johnston of BIFFY CLYRO said ''We are thrilled to be returning to RockNess in June, and this time we'll be headlining. The location is amazing and the enthusiastic crowd made for a memorable experience in 2009, so we're counting down the days until our return in 2012.''

Director Jim King said: "I'm so happy with the list of acts we're announcing today that I now just can't wait for the first tent peg in the ground and for the party to start!"

English festival fans will also have a new way of getting to the Dores festival with the launch of the RockNess Express. The specially chartered train will depart from London Euston, picking up festival goers at Birmingham, Derby, York and Newcastle, before its final stop at Inverness.

Tickets for the festival are on sale now. For details of prices and sales agents, visit www.rockness.co.uk
