Bob Dylan Announces ‘Tempest’ North American Tour

Music legend also announces Western Canada tour.

Bob Dylan is returning to the Great White North with a Western Canada tour to support his latest album, Tempest, which will come out on September 11th. Read all the details on his 35th album – which marks 50 years since the release of his very first self-titled album – right here.

Dylan is embarking on a Western Canada tour too – after a wildly successful tour of Europe last year playing to standing-room-only crowds, Dylan and his band will tour North America this fall with special guest Mark Knopfler, making a number of stops north of the border. He plays the MTS Centre in Winnipeg on October 5th and tickets will go on sale on July 27 (although ticket prices have not yet been released). He will also perform at a number of venues in Alberta and British Columbia.

Dylan is an icon – known for such hit tracks as  "Blowin' in the Wind" and "The Times They Are a-Changin'" (to name just a very few), he is also a published writer and an artist. He has amassed a number of Grammy, Golden Globe, and Academy Awards, and he has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Songwriters Hall of Fame, and the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. If that weren't enough, the Pulitzer Prize jury in 2008 awarded Dylan a special citation, and in May of this year, President Barack Obama gave him with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
