Rural Rock Stars: Kid’s Soulful Ray Charles Cover Goes Viral

Irrefutable proof that gingers do have soul!

Unbeknownst to him, a Redditor's little brother was recorded while playing a ridiculously good version of Ray Charles' classic track "Hit The Road, Jack" while visiting family over the holidays, and it's too good not to share.

The post first hit its stride on Reddit, while YouTube took that ball and ran with it – at publishing time, the clip had already exceeded 200,000 views.

The outpouring of support led the performer to comment personally on the Reddit post: "Hey this is the OP's brother in the video, I can't believe this has gotten so much attention and thanks to everyone. This has definitely given me the initiative to continue making videos and I should have posted very soon. Thanks again for the love reddit. PS – I'm full ginger."

As a token of appreciation, the kid then uploaded a cover of Big Bill Broonzy's "Key To The Highway":
