After a series of hints via Twitter, Pearl Jam has announced plans to headline Chicago’s famed Wrigley Field this summer, as well as a stop in London, Ontario. Additionally, the band has promised upcoming fall tour dates.
Earlier this week, both Pearl Jam and the Chicago Cubs took to Twitter to post teaser updates with the hash tag #StayTuned. The hints were updated Wednesday morning with the following news from Pearl Jam's email blast for fan club members, who will get priority seating:
We are excited to announce two special Pearl Jam live performances to take place in London, Ontario and at Chicago’s Wrigley Field in July 2013. Both evenings will be An Evening with Pearl Jam; there will not be an opening band for either performance date. The two show dates are: Tues, July 16 – London, Ontario Budweiser Gardens Fri, July 19 – Chicago, Illinois at Wrigley Field
*Fall Tour dates in the US will be announced in the coming months. Due to the size of this baseball park, there will be 3 different ticket options. Prices vary.
