Beyonce took to the stage in full Sasha Fierce mode during Sunday's Super Bowl halftime show, powering through a medley of hits before being joined by her Destiny's Child bandmates Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland. While the performance had everything to do with spectacle and nothing at all to do with the art of music, the show was executed to near-perfection in front of an estimated 112 million viewers worldwide.
Belting out "Love on Top," "Crazy in Love," "End of Time" and "Baby Boy," a leather-clad Bey was surrounded and engulfed by ice, fire and smoke. After Destiny's Child convened for strong performances of "Bootylicious" and "Independent Woman," the trio did a fine spin on "Single Ladies," before leaving the stage for Beyonce to perform "Halo" solo.
