Krautrock outfit and all-around visionaries Kraftwerk are to headline T In The Park 2013.
The German four-piece, who are currently mid-way through a series of performances at London's Tate Modern Gallery where they have been playing their entire discography in full, have been added to the fill of the Scottish festival's 20th anniversary.
Festival director Geoff Ellis said of the announcement: "Kraftwerk are a truly seminal band. Their revolutionary sound altered the face of contemporary music, and paved the way for so many artists across so many musical genres.
"They are a massively influential group and an incredible live act, and we are hugely excited to welcome Kraftwerk to T In The Park for the first time this July, in what will be a very special moment in our 20th year celebrations."
Kraftwerk will join Mumford & Sons, Rihanna, The Killers, Alt-J, Paloma Faith, The Script, Emeli Sande, Two Door Cinema Club, Of Monsters and Men, Jake Bugg and Azealia Banks at the festival, which takes place between July 12th-14th. To buy tickets, visit the T In The Park Official Website.
T In The Park recently won the Pollstar award for International Festival of the Year for its 2012 bill, which included the likes of Kasabian, The Stone Roses and Snow Patrol.
