Anticipation continues to build for the April 9 release of the debut album from Device, a new project led by Disturbed frontman David Draiman. Featuring a downright badass lineup of guest players including Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler, Deep Purple singer-bassist Glenn Hughes, Avenged Sevenfold frontman M. Shadows, System of a Down singer Serj Tankian, Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello and Halestorm‘s Lzzy Hale, Device's self-titled debut is bound to make waves in rock history right out of the gate.
The band’s touring lineup consists of Draiman, Evanescence drummer Will Hunt and Dope / Eve to Adam guitarist Virus. Former Filter guitarist Geno Lenardo wrote and recorded the album with Draiman, but will not tour with the outfit.
In addition to the band's first single "Vilify" hitting airwaves, CraveOnline has an exclusive behind the scenes look at the making of the "Vilify" video for your viewing pleasure!
In addition to some disturbing prep for the video with black goo, we get a peek at Draiman's wife's physical transformation for her part in the clip, and get the play-by-play from the band as they listen to a little bit of the new Deftones record in the downtime between takes.
Device will head out on tour in support of their debut album, though the full set of dates has yet to be announced. They’ll play in Switzerland later this month, and have a number of festival dates lined up for spring and summer. Catch them this year at Rock on the Range, Carolina Rebellion, Welcome To Rockville Festival, Lazerfest 2013 and elsewhere.
