Rihanna in Talks to Headline Glastonbury 2013

Singer says she could "rock the stage" at the festival.

Rihanna is reportedly in talks to headline Glastonbury 2013.

The 'We Found Love' songstress is thought to have been lined up to take to the Pyramid Stage for the last night of the weekend, according to the Daily Star Sunday. A source working for the festival allegedly told the newspaper: “She is the perfect choice. Beyonce stole the show two years ago and there’s no reason Rihanna can’t do the same.

“She’s got a huge back catalogue and is undoubtedly the biggest female artist around at the moment bar Adele.”

Thus far only a handful of performers have been announced for Glasto, with the headliners still remaining a mystery. The Rolling Stones have been offered £1million to make their debut appearance at the festival, and are reportedly considering it, with guitarist Ronnie Wood in particular wanting the legendary band to take to the infamous Pyramid Stage. Fleetwood Mac were also rumoured to perform after the announcement of their reunion, but they have already booked dates for a tour that clashes with Glastonbury's dates and won't be performing in the UK until September.

Speaking in 2011, Rihanna said that she would love to play Glastonbury in the future, saying: “I’d love to play Glastonbury. I have heard so many things about what happens there. I love rock music. I love Kings Of Leon and The Prodigy.

“The music is awesome. I like the more traditional rock bands, too: Aerosmith and Bon Jovi. I think I could rock the stage at Glastonbury, no question.”
