Legendary Rolling Stones axeman Ronnie Wood and former guitarist of The Smiths Johnny Marr joined forces last night, performing a rendition of The Smiths' classic 'How Soon is Now?' at the NME Awards 2013.
Marr, who earlier this week spoke of his annoyance at the rumours constantly lobbied at him concerning a potential reunion with Morrissey & co. joined Ronnie Wood onstage at the awards ceremony, before the pair performed The Smiths' classic track in front of an audience including The Killers, Florence (sans Machine) and Paul Weller.
Watch the video of the performance, and Marr's impeccable Morrissey impression, below:
Marr also picked up the Godlike Genius Award on the evening, which was presented to him by Wood, who also picked up the award for Best Live Band on behalf of The Rolling Stones, along with the award for Best Music Film for 'Crossfire Hurricane'.
Elsewhere, The Cribs picked up the Outstanding Contribution to Music award, while The Killers were awarded Best International Band and Biffy Clyro were named Best British Band. One Direction won Worst Band, and Harry Styles also won Villain of the Year.
