Saturday, May 18 will see the exclusive broadcast of the 2013 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, the 28th annual ceremony of its kind.

The ceremony, which took place on April 18 at Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre, features inductees Heart, Albert King, Randy Newman, Public Enemy, Rush, and Donna Summer, as well as Lou Adler and Quincy Jones. The HBO special features long-awaited performances, commemorative tributes and moving speeches from both presenters and inductees.

The special is bookended by all-star jams that have long been a signature of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame shows. The night opened with Randy Newman performing his classic “I Love LA,” joined by Jackson Browne, John Fogerty and Tom Petty. The evening’s finale (watch at bottom) of Robert Johnson’s legendary song “Crossroads” included Gary Clark Jr., Chris Cornell, John Fogerty, Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Heart, Mike McCready, Tom Morello, Public Enemy and Rush.

2013 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony airs Saturday May 18 (9:00-11:50 p.m. ET/PT). The 28th annual  marking the first time since 1993 that the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony was held on the West Coast. 

HBO Signature will present a 24-hour marathon of the HBO special beginning at midnight the same day the special debuts on HBO, and concluding May 19 at midnight.
