Bondi Beach’s New Year’s Eve celebration, Shore Thing 2013, has secured dubstep sensation Skrillex in a major way.
Skrillex, also known as Sonny John Moore, has been revealed as the headline act for the eighth annual Shore Thing, combining his performance with a programing role.
In addition to his own set, Skrillex will play a big part in booking the rest of the lineup.
Having last visited as part of the 2012 Future Music Festival, Skrillex is marking his returning by bringing the Skrillex Spaceship stage to Australian soil for the first time.
Since debuting in 2005, Shore Thing has brought Bondi the likes of David Guetta, Calvin Harris and even Snoop Lion to the Sydney beach.
Tickets are currently on sale for $118 while the lineup is expected to drop in the near future. General release tickets, opened once the current first release are sold out, will see ticket prices increase to $138 with prices increasing dramatically the longer you wait.
