New Jack Hustle is New - Alex Newman - plus Jack - Shawn Jackson. LA-based MC Jackson, who has already collaborated with Jay Dee perennials Frank 'n Dank as well as LA underground stalwarts People Under the Stairs, teamed up with Giant Panda producer-MC Newman in 2005. Their 2006 single "Go" is a slice of hard-edged indie hip-hop and a good introduction to Jackson's inventive rhymes, which fall somewhere between the backpack and thug sets.
