After fifteen years of metal domination, Lamb of God are celebrating their anniversary milestone with the release of a variety Hourglass box sets. The standard issue is a 3-CD anthology split into three areas: “The Underground Years,” “The Epic Years,” and “The Vault.” In addition to a solid sampling from Lamb of God’s career, they've also packed the set with Japanese bonus tracks, rehearsal demos and rarities.
The Super Deluxe Set features a Jackson guitar and coffin case in addition to the music, the longevity and depth of which speaks on its own. While The Underground Years CD explores the band's more raw edges, The 2nd CD (Epic Years) features a killer collection of tracks that comprise a loose Greatest Hits album, pulled from the records Wrath, Ashes of the Wake and Sacrament.

Notable Vault rehearsal demos include“Now You’ve Got Something To Die For” and the titular “Hourglass,” as well as a stripped and ripped version of “Lame and Duane" and the "Burn the Priest" vinyl singles.
We're going to try something new in this neck of the woods and allow the fans themselves the opportunity to talk about the box set. We've dug through countless submissions and reactions to bring you the complete picture on what to expect from this kickass Hourglass box set!
Well, when I first saw the Super Deluxe Set, I told myself I had to have it. With the guitar going for about $500 and a custom coffin case estimated at around $200, all the other goodies could almost be considered free gifts. It's pretty much a boxed up history of Lamb Of God thus far. Not to mention having all of their albums on vinal, and each album on it's own USB drive which has never been done before. I just think it was well thought out, and nobody's done anything like this before... You get everything a die hard fan could think of. A signed photo, the flag, the anthology, the vinyls, all of their artwork, and not to mention a Mark Morton signature series guitar!! I figured they had to be sold out by the time I saw the add, but I jumped on the website anyway, and poof.. They're in stock!
Thank you LOG for putting this out there!! You guys truly ROCK!

Another:
Well my first reaction was SICK!!!!! The hourglass set is the ultimate boxset for LOG fans. My favorite part though us the numbered, and engraved coffin case. A great touch that really adds uniqueness to an already great package. - Tim Rodgers
And another:
Lamb of Gods Super Deluxe set is the best thing to come from Lamb of God. The illistrated book by Ken Adams is a must have for any Lamb of God enthusiast. Fans have spent years watching their heroes with the patriotic pure american metal flag behind them and its a symbol that we can now hold. I love having all their realeased and un relaeased songs on 3 different forms of media for the modern age metal head. The addition of the Jackson D2 guitar really tops it off, its something that those who are fans want to own and all guitarists want to get their hands on, the inclusion of the coffin case with the 15th aniversary "Hourglass" logo really reflects on the Ashes of the Wake album. Money well spent on this set, the only dissapointment is waiting for it to ship to Australia. Love your work LOG

One last testimonial, for good measure:
I remember I woke up in the middle of the night and I couldn't sleep, so I logged on to blabbermouth.net to read some news about the metal world.
There was an article about the "Hourglass" collection and it noted that there would be a crazy version with Mark's D2 guitar plus more surprises.
I felt the adrenalin pumping all over my body. I was so stunned that I logged on to the band's site to verify that there would actually be such a crazy version.
I simply grabbed my head and said to myself "I will buy this package, no matter what! I'll have the craziest collector's edition ever of the legendary LOG."
I was so thrilled to see LOG performing in Tel Aviv, Israel and felt so happy to see the band and purchase the most amazing collector's edition ever.
I'm more than proud to have this version. LOG simply thought creatively and joined all the relevant parties to create an insatiable beast. A version, which I doubt, any band will ever produce.
Thank you LOG for making me so happy!!! \m/
