V-MODA Crossfade LP Headphones

If you’re going to design the ultimate headphones, you start with the folks that know sound quality. That’s precisely what V-MODA did with their signature Crossfade LP Headphones, consulting the world’s top musicians, producers, and DJs. Four years later (that’s right, four years), V-MODA has delivered a product that simply delivers.

The first thing you’ll notice about these over-ear headphones is how slick they look. They feature a unique metal design and come in 3 different styles: White Pearl, Phantom Chrome and Gunmetal Black. The headphones may look sturdy, but at only 280 grams they are extremely light and comfortable. The ergonomic design means you’ll look good and forget you are wearing anything on your head. The cords are also Kevlar-reinforced which looks cool and keeps tangles to a minimum.

If the Crossfade LPs look fantastic, there’s no denying they sound just as great. The bass on these babies is amazing. This is no doubt a bass-heavy headphone, so keep that in mind. They have a decent range, but seem more designed for those of us who want to thump. (And there’s nothing wrong with that.) The memory-foam ear cushions successfully keep outside distractions at a minimum, so you can enjoy that deep bass.
The Crossfade LPs come with a durable, sleek exoskeleton case. Also, V-MODA wisely includes a three-button remote control cable with a mic so you can call your friends with your smartphone and tell them all about your awesome new headphones.
At $249.99 the Crossfade LPs are a bit pricey, yes, but anyone interested in this type of sound quality and comfort will agree they are  well worth the money. (They are actually a bit cheaper than comparable models.) You can get the V-MODA Crossfade LPs at V-Moda’s website or at any Apple Store
