Jonah Hill To Direct Zombie Comedy 'Kitchen Sink'

Teenagers sell tickets. Zombies sell tickets. Vampires sell tickets. Aliens sell tickets. Teenaged zombies and vampires fighting off aliens? Will you take a check right now? Because you might as well have got yourself a license to print money. At least that’s what Sony thinks, since they’re setting up a movie with that very premise right now. What do you call a movie with every pop culture trope represented in the tag line? Kitchen Sink of course. Who do you get to direct Kitchen Sink? Jonah Hill of huh…?

Well, Jonah Hill of Get Him to the Greek and Superbad more accurately. Hill’s star has been steadily rising both in front of and behind the cameras, since he’s currently producing, writing and starring in the upcoming movie adaptation of 21 Jump Street. Hill has been offered the chance to make his directorial debut with Kitchen Sink, a script by Orien Uziel, the writer of that kick-ass Mortal Kombat short with Michael Jai White and Jeri Ryan which did some time on the internet last year. Uziel will also write the script for the new Mortal Kombat movie, a move which could finish him if it turns out anything like the last few Mortal Kombat movies.

Oh, we’re just kidding Orien. Friendship…? And thanks to Deadline for the scoop.

Crave Online will return with more Kitchen Sink news… and everything else too.
