Mike Patton Reprises Role As The Darkness

2K Games has announced that singer, songwriter, actor, Mike Patton, will once again play the role of The Darkness is the upcoming The Darkness II. Patton is probably best known for being the front man of Faith No More, Mr. Bungle and Peeping Tom. However, the man seems jazzed to once again reprise the role of Jackie Estacado’s shadowy torturer.

“It feels really good to be the bad guy, and The Darkness is as bad as it gets,” said Mike Patton. “I’ve read through the script and Jackie is going to be a brutally tortured soul. I’m looking forward to making his life a living hell.”

Very little is know up to this point about The Darkness II, other than it incorporates Quad-Wielding gamplay that lets you “slash, grab, and throw objects and enemies with your Demon Arms while simultaneously firing two weapons.”

The Darkness II is set to launch in Fall 2011 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. The game’s script is also being written by comic scribe Paul Jenkins.
