Capcom Announces Dragon’s Dogma

The creators of Resident Evil 4 and Devil May Cry 4 team-up for a new action-fantasy title.

During the company’s Captivate event in Miami last week, Capcom announced a new IP called Dragon’s Dogma. The game is being developed by some of Capcom’s biggest creators, namely the people behind titles such as Resident Evil 4 and Devil May Cry 4.

Dragon’s Dogma is a fantasy title set in a massive open world. The game's plot stems from the fact that a massive… wait for it… dragon is terrorizing the land, so you and your band of merry companions set out to track down the beast and slay it. Go!

The game runs off the same graphical engine that handled Resident Evil 5 and Lost Planet 2. You can expect Dragon’s Dogma in early 2012 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
