Man, yesterday was, like, the worst day ever. First we learned that personal information was compromised due to the PSN hack. Then, later at night, we found out Telltale Games has delayed the first episode of Jurassic Park: The Game on PC and Mac to fall of this year. The game was originally supposed to ship this month.

In an email sent out to those who pre-ordered the game, Telltale CEO Dan Connors outlines the reason behind the delay. Apparently, Telltale saw more potential in the title than they originally anticipated and wanted to pursue it, which, in turn, requires more development time.

“The game’s mechanics and storytelling have come together in such a way that we see great potential,” said Telltale CEO Dan Conners, “so much so, that we feel we can push these elements to the next level if we spend some extra time working on them.”

However, Telltale, being the stand up development house that they are, have issued a full, 100% refund to those who have pre-ordered. In addition, Telltale is letting those same people pick a full game of their choice from the Telltale catalogue and download it for free.

This delay will cause the PC and Mac to release alongside the PS3 and Xbox Live versions of Jurassic Park: The Game.
