Since its debut last month, "Mortal Kombat: Legacy" has quickly become one of the most popular original series for the web. The new live action revival of the franchise is due in no small part to director Kevin Tancharoen ("Fame"), whose short film "Mortal Kombat: Rebirth" became a viral hit in 2010.

Recently, Crave Online spoke to Tancharoen about the origins of "Mortal Kombat: Rebirth," how the reaction it received compared to "Batman: Dead End," which characters will show up in "Mortal Kombat: Legacy" and whether he wants the series to continue on the web or make the transition to a new "Mortal Kombat" movie.
