Free Comic Book Day

The first Saturday in May is the annual "get your scrubby butt to a funnybook shop" celebration entitled "Free Comic Book Day!"  That'll be tomorrow, for all you chronologically challenged folks.  Perhaps you were lost in the time stream and didn't know.  It happens in comic-land.

But there's a treasure trove of good stuff you can get your hands on, and you don't even have to finagle a five-fingered discount – it's all sans charge!  Take a look at this booty:

The Amazing Spider-Man, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Darkwing Duck, Green Lantern, Kung-Fu Panda, The Smurfs, Locke & Key, The Dark Crystal, Betty & Veronica, Star Wars: Clone Wars, Super Dinosaur, Richie Rich, 2000 A.D., Atomic Robo, Captain America, Thor, Bongo Comics, The Darkness 2, Baltimore Criminal Macabre, Civil War Adventure, Inspector Gadget, Ice, Elric: Balance Lost, Deadliest Sharks & Prehistoric Predators, Intrepid Scapegoat & Stuff of Legend, Witch & Wizard, Planeswalker, John Stanley's Summer Fun, The Misadventures of Adam West, Silver Scorpion, Sonic the Hedgehog, Spontaneous, The Tick, Jake The Dreaming, Worlds of Aspen, Young Justice, Batman: Brave and the Bold and even good old Mickey Mouse!  All for free!  Bring a bag, stock up!

And don't forget that you can also pick up an exclusive Hal Jordan Green Lantern Heroclix figure for $0 as well!  Heroclix is like chess with superheroes, and if you're any kind of nerd with any kind of free time, you should be playing.  A whole bunch of Green Lantern and Captain America clix are due out this summer, too, so get on board the great clix coaster.

And go get yourself some comics tomorrow!  They're free, and there ain't no better price than that.
