Batman Incorporated has been met with the usual controversy surrounding Grant Morrison's work on iconic characters, and in Batman Inc. #6, the writer is addressing the skepticism about Bruce Wayne going public as the financial backer of Batman head-on.

As we see below, Bruce's strategy with making Batman an international franchise is to completely muddy the notion that Batman is just one person, encouraging the rumors that there have always been multiple Batmen.  In essence, he may be diluting the brand name with a bunch of second-tear Batmen, but it should certainly help to defray his enemies' attempts to figure out who the man is behind the cowl.  With this new enterprise, it no longer matters.  Very interesting.

Check out these preview pages from Batman Inc. #6, arriving this week, featuring an attack from a gang led by someone called "Emoticon Man" and an appearance from the Outsiders.
