EA Games and Slightly Mad Studios have released information on the second DLC pack for Shift 2: Unleashed. This time the focus is on speed with the “Speedhunters” content pack. The DLC brings 14 new cars, 6 tracks and two new game modes with it. The Speedhunters DLC will be available on May 17 for 800 MS Points on Xbox Live, or $9.99 on the PlayStation Network.

Pasted below are the cars and tracks being introduced in the Speedhunters DLC, while I’m going to detail the game modes here. Both new modes — Drag and Standing Mile — introduce nine new events to single player, where you can only use manual shifting. On top of that, traction control will be turned off, while the HUD will display a new rev counter and gear indicator. In Drag races, players will compete for the fastest time over a quarter mile stretch, while Standing Mile measures the fastest speed achieved over a mile’s length.
