Preview: Captain America Corps #1

Cap Inc., this is not.  A new Roger Stern miniseries puts a Cap-centric team in a dystopic America.

Captain America Corps #1

In Marvel's effort to wring every bit of juice out of the fact that Captain America is getting the big-screen treatment, next month they're bringing us the start of a five-issue miniseries from Roger Stern entitled Captain America Corps

When you see this features a bunch of different characters in various offshoots of the Cap costume, one's mind might immediately think that this is a knock-off of Grant Morrison's Batman Incorporated schtick.  However, judging by this preview, it's more a reason to gather together already established characters from different timelines for a cool team-up – bringing in Cap's daughter from the MC2 reality American Dream to hang out with Cap, Bucky, U.S. Agent and Commander A.  The Watcher brings these folks together in what appears to be an alternate reality dystopian America run by a malicious group called Americommand.  Sounds like some kind of Evil Cap may be behind it all as a nemesis they'll have to work together to fight.
