Summer TV schedules are coming out left and right, and while fall used to be the only popular "new series" season, the summer months are playing host to a number of exciting programming debuts. So here are the new home-grown TV series you should look out for.
The Kennedys (Global)
Already having aired on the History Channel, Global will start airing the eight one-hour episodes on July 4th (when else?!).
Canada Sings! (Global)
Get those vocal chords tuned as office glee clubs perform and are judged by a celeb panel consisting of Canadian songstress Jan Arden, Simple Plan’s Pierre Bouvier and Vanilla Ice.

"Combat Hospital" is one of the most highly-anticipated shows of the summer, debuting simultaneously on Global as well as on ABC down south.
The Firm (CTV)
This Canadian co-production is based on the best-selling John Grisham novel of the same name. Global commissioned 22 hour-long episodes with NBC Universal and Entertainment One.
Almost Heroes (Showcase)
The new comedy will be spearheaded by Paul Campbell (from "Battlestar Galalctica" and "Knight Rider") as he works at the family business, a comic book store called the Silver Salmon, following his father's death.
Single White Spenny (Showcase)
Now without his Kenny, Spencer Rice stars in this spinoff based loosely, he says, on his own life.
Dust Up (History Channel)
The reality-based show is a wild ride that lets viewers get a cockpit-eye view of three maverick crop dusters in Nipawin, Saskatchewan.
