Just yesterday I was fantasizing about Kojima Production’s Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker making the jump from PSP to PS3 through Sony’s new PSP Remaster program. It seems that dream is soon to become a reality, reports the French website JVN.com. The announcement is expected to come at E3 in June.
This makes 100% sense. Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is one of the PSP’s grandest offerings. The game is massive, which unfortunately lead to many cramped hands while playing it on the compact PSP. But on the PS3, Peace Walker will have room to breathe and be a much more comfortable experience. The addition of HD visuals and controls tailored to the PS3’s DualShock controller are just icing on the cake.
In addition to Peace Walker making the transition to PS3, it’s also heavily rumored that Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty will be announced as a HD-remastering bundle for PS3 at E3. The same type of deal that the first two God of War and Sly Cooper titles received. We could be in for one hell of a Metal Gear Solid-centric bombshell come early June. And that isn’t even factoring in any new news on Metal Gear Solid: Rising, the upcoming action-adventure game starring Raiden. Metal Gear Solid fans, get pumped.
