Judah Friedlander, star of the wildly funny comedy show 30 Rock, will be stopping in Toronto as part of his upcoming World Champion stand-up tour. He'll be performing at Second City next Thursday.
His tour will take up some time while "30 Rock" is on hiatus, something the comedy actor said fans have nothing to worry about. He told the Canadian Press, "Here's what's going on, to my knowledge: Tina Fey is pregnant, not by (co-star) Tracy Morgan and not by me, as far as I can remember. Now, the thing is, Tina Fey is having a baby soon and I believe she's having the baby around the time we normally start filming for the new season, so our start time is actually being delayed some. We're going to start filming later than normal, so because of that our show has to air later than normal. So to my knowledge that's what that's all about."
Friedlander is also in the midst of promoting his new book "How To Beat Up Anybody," his first instructional martial arts book for beginners as well as the top karate masters in the world, for males and females, from infants to senior citizens, where master of the martial arts and extra-dark black belt Judah Friedlander teaches readers how to kick anyone’s ass (except his... that’s impossible). It's available through the NBC Store (www.nbcuniversalstore.com). "I'm the greatest athlete, the greatest martial artist in the world," he said to CP. "I hook up with about 30 chicks a day and I'm also a role model to children."
Friedlander has appeared on the comedy show "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and "Wonder Showzen," which pokes fun at educational PBS shows of the 70s. He won a Screen Actors Guild Award as part of the Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series for "30 Rock" in 2009 and has been nominated with his colleagues for the same award two other times.
