Some World War Z casting news for you today: Matthew Fox and Ed Harris are both reportedly cast in the film, which has been in development as long as we can remember, which is a nice way of saying 'since 2007.' According to Bloody Disgusting, Fox is all set to play 'Parajumper,' which is either the coolest last name ever or his occupation. Ed Harris has also apparently been attached to the production, although his role is unknown. They're set to join Brad Pitt and The Killing's Mireille Enos in the cast for director Marc Forster (Monster's Ball, Finding Neverland).
Based on the novel by Max Brooks, World War Z tells the story of a civilization still suffering 10 years after the initial zombie outbreak. J. Michael Straczynski and Matthew Carnahan have written the script for the film, which is being produced by Brad Pitt's Plan B Entertainment.
After six seasons of Lost, Fox took a bit of a break from the acting spotlight, but with World War Z and the serial killer role in Lionsgate's new reboot I, Alex Cross he seems set for a comeback. Luckily for him, the zombie fad doesn't seem to be dying (undying?) any time soon, and serial killers never go out of vogue.
Crave Online will return with more World War Z news as soon as we get these brain stains out of our carpet.
