Welcome to the latest episode of The Book Report, Crave Online's weekly comic book podcast, featuring Crave's Comic Editor Andy Hunsaker and MTV veteran crankabout Iann Robinson.
This week, we're all over the place, tearing into the Green Lantern movie (and Here There Be Spoilers), which somehow segues into spending far too much time debating the merits of Ang Lee's Hulk. We also congratulate Archie comics for giving their gay character Kevin his own miniseries, touch on the casting of Russell Crowe as Jor-El in Zack Snyder's Superman film and Liam Neeson's return in The Dark Knight Rises and, like everybody else, we can't stop talking about the DC reboot, including Superman's new look, what to do with Wonder Woman, and the Justice Society of America going the way of the dodo. As always, we also give your Yays, Nays and Mehs, covering Batman #711 and the things going on with the Gotham City bad guys like Two-Face and the Riddler, X-Men: Prelude to Schism, The Lone Ranger: The Death of Zorro #4, Anya's Ghost, Fear Itself: Avengers Academy, as well as Flashpoint's Grodd of War and Wonder Woman and the Furies. We also go off the rails here and there on tangents that will likely offend some folks. I even offended myself!
