Is a ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ Movie On the Way?

First Doctor Strange, now this... Marvel Studios mines its lesser known characters with zeal, apparently.

If Marvel Studios is going to survive, they're eventually going to have to move past the A-List superheroes like Captain America and Iron Man and delve a little deeper into their vaults for new ideas. And while my dream of one day seeing a Rocket Raccoon movie may never be realized (damn it)… Wait a second. I've written this paragraph before. It was earlier this week when talk of a Doctor Strange movie surfaced. And now they're talking about a Guardians of the Galaxy movie which… gasp… means Rocket Raccoon might be headed to the big screen too!

Yay!

Yes, Twitch Film reports that Marvel Studios is seriously considering a Guardians of the Galaxy movie… which is awesome. A big, grand ol' space opera… Been a long time since we've seen one of those that didn't rhyme with "Tar Gores." The original Guardians of the Galaxy team was comprised of a group of intergalactic adventurers, each representing the last of their species, but in recent years has turned into an all-star lineup of Marvel's best – or at least most interesting – space-faring heroes like Drax the Destroyer, Adam Warlock and, of course, Rocket Raccoon. Sources tell Twitch Film that a GotG movie is in "active development," but doesn't say which version of the series is currently being favored for the big-screen treatment.

I'll give you a hint, Marvel: We want the one with Rocket Raccoon.

CRAVE Online will return with more Guardians of the Galaxy news as long as Vance Astrovik isn't involved.
