If you consider yourself one of those football video game junkies, you’ll be happy to know that there is a demo of Madden NFL 12 currently available on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live. That’s right, Madden NFL 12 might not hit stores shelves till August 30th (August 26th digitally for Season Ticket holders), but you can get a small, free hit of the experience right now. This is your 5 o’clock free crack giveaway, courtesy of EA Sports.
The demo in question lets you relive the 2011 NFC Championship between the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field. You’ll be able to enjoy a full game with 5-minute quarters, as well as choose from four difficulty levels and have the option to use conventional or GameFlow playcalling.
Honestly, I think this is pretty standard fair for Madden NFL demos, is it not? But again, if you’re the type of gamer that lines up outside GameStop for the yearly release of Madden, then you probably won’t care what kind of early taste you’re getting. You’re hooked either way. It could be a match-up between the Detroit Lions and Jacksonville Jaguars and you’d gladly dive in head first.
Thankfully, it’s not the Lions vs. Jaguars. That would be a cruel joke on EA Sports’ part. So, if you want an early taste of what Madden NFL 12 is bringing to the table, hop onto the PlayStation Network or Xbox Live now to snag the free demo.
