If you’re a hardcore football fan, you might want to take note. Sony and DirecTV have announced that they are jointly bringing NFL Sunday Ticket to the PlayStation 3.

For those who aren’t aware, NFL Sunday Ticket lets you watch every out-of-market NFL game in full HD, as well as have access to the NFL Red Zone channel, which jumps from game to game at critical moments, keeping you in the know about everything happening on game day.

However, Sunday Ticket will not be cheap. The package will cost PS3 gamers $339.95 a year. And no, that isn’t a typo. In fact, that’s almost a hundred dollars more than the PS3 currently retails for.

But diehard football fans might find the price justifiable for the program's full access pass. You’ll even be able to subscribe to Sunday Ticket if you aren’t a DirecTV customer. But for those who are already attached to DirecTV and subscribe to Sunday Ticket, you’ll be able to turn your PS3 into a second receiver for an extra $50.

So what do you guys thinking about Sunday Ticket coming to the PS3? Is the steep price worth it? Sound off in the comments below.
