Man, we did not see this coming at all. The upcoming issue of Official PlayStation Magazine UK confirms that Hideo Kojima and his company, Kojima Productions, are working on Metal Gear Solid 5.

Consider our minds officially blown.

We unfortunately don’t have any more details yet, but you’ll be able to find out more in the soon-to-be-released issue of OPSM UK. The mag also sheds some light on another Kojima Productions’ project, Project Ogre. The issue hits stands, and shortly thereafter Internet forums, on November 29th.

Until then, what do you think the plot to Metal Gear Solid 5 will be about? We’re honestly stumped on where the series can go from the end of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. Oh, and don’t forget about Metal Gear Solid: Rising, the Raiden-starring spin-off, which will get a “re-reveal” at this year’s Spike Video Game Awards in December.

It seems as though we have a MGS-filled future ahead of us, not that we’re complaining.
