During the second season finale of "Justified," the hometown of U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant) lived up to its "Bloody Harlan" nickname when the feud between Raylan and the Bennett family came to a violent end. Even the great Mags Bennett (Margo Martindale) killed herself in front of Raylan rather than live on without her beloved son, Doyle (Joseph Lyle Taylor).
But that doesn't mean that things are settling down in Harlan County. The last time Boyd Crowder (Walton Goggins) was seen, his new love, Ava (Joelle Carter) was seriously wounded and possibly near death. And Raylan destroyed Boyd's best chance for revenge when he led Dickie Bennett (Jeremy Davies) away. In the first teaser from the third season of "Justified," Boyd and his men appear to be hunting for Raylan before Boyd comes across something that belongs to his rival.
In the second teaser from season 3, Raylan and Boyd get ready for a shoot out, but apparently they're on the same side of this conflict. Does this mean that they're going to team up again against a common foe?
And finally, the third teaser features Raylan relaxing in the only way that he knows how.
Although most of the plot details for the new season of "Justified" are still under wraps, we do know that Carla Gugino ("Sucker Punch," "Karen Sisko") is joining the series in the recurring role of Karen Goodall, an assistant director of the U.S. Marshals who has a complicated history with Raylan from their time together in Miami.
Neal McDonough ("Desperate Housewives") will also play Quarles, a Detroit mobster attempting to build his own crime empire in Kentucky; with Mykelti Williamson ("24") slated to portray Limehouse, a resident of a small town in Harlan County who is willing to do whatever it takes to defend his home.
"Justified" will return for its third season on FX in January 2012.
