If you're looking for some obscurities hidden within DC's New 52 universe, there's a fun little anthology series (now a miniseries, because hey, it's obscure) called My Greatest Adventure going on that may give you a character or three you enjoy. The most famous of these is Robotman, formerly of DC's cult favorite team Doom Patrol, now working mostly solo but retaining his curmudgeonly personality from the DCoU while fighting monsters. There's also the fallen hero Garbage Man, who has already mixed it up a bit with Batman while dealing with the curse of being a big pile of gross instead of a handsome, successful man with a lovely fiancee. Finally, there's the snarky Tanga, who has a hard time working with others and has alienated a lot of people for being an alien.
Check out these preview pages for My Greatest Adventure #4. First up are a couple of pages from Robotman's "Uncanny Valley" story by Matt Kindt and Scott Kolins, which reveals his origins and just how a human brain got surrounded by robot parts.
Then we've got Garbage Man in "Dream Monsters" by Aaron Lopresti, the story of a victim of some science gone wrong, trying to find his place in the world - particularly Gotham City.
Finally, there's the invulnerapurple Tanga tale "Besieged" by Kevin Maguire, which pits the alien lass against a giant crazy-lookin' monster.
